Hey Guy's

This is my little problem
I just purchased a new CD player (jvc kd-dv5000) its got mp3,dvd options , now it was replacing my old pioneer deck. It came with free install at futureshop, now after the deck was installed my power windows stop working so i checked the fuse and sure enough it was blown.

So the following day i went and picked up a new fuse , it lasted 2 days before it blew again. What could be the problem here??, Ive never had a problem with my windows until this damn deck went in , could it be possible that he has hooked the main power source into the power window wire??.

When i went back to the guy all he said was that he just ran the same wires.

thanks.

Since it was installed at futureshop, I would go back and tell them your problem and have them CHECK THEIR INSTALL. They WILL tell you that it's not their problem because your window circuits have nothing to do with your radio circuits but they may have poorly connected wire back there causing power to arc to a ground. Nonetheless, take it back and have them recheck their install. They may have had a noob do the job (radio installs are the easiest for a noobs).

*edit*If you've got the time and know how...check the wiring yourself and take pics if you find a bad connection. Shops hardly if ever admit to doing a bad install ;)
A simple aftermarket radio swap won't affect anything (unless they keep the power on and accidentally touched the power wire to ground [that seems to weaken nearby electronics, LOL])
