power steering help please

I have a 96 eclipse gs. I need some help figuring out what part is missing on my power steering pump. I'm pretty sure it's either a check valve or a pressure switch. I attached a couple pictures. One is of a diagram I found and one is a picture of my actual pump where the missing piece is. I appreciate any help.

I may have to just find another eclipse and look at the power steering pump.

i believe it's just a plug that goes there. maybe ## bolt backed out somehow...... get a bolt with the right thread pattern and test it out. of course ensure ## ## fluid is topped off an check for leaks or inconsistencies in ## p.s.

Okay thanks a lot. Ill try and find a bolt to fit, but may end up having to get one at a junkyard anyway. I know there is a vacuum line close to it that's not hooked up to anything.

There is supposed to be an oil pressure switch there, not just a plug. The part number is MR197501 for the switch and it has an o-ring to seal it, conveniently part number MR197502.

Wow thanks a lot. I don't know if there's a better way to help than part numbers. Do you think a regular parts store would sell it because I'm about 2 hours from the closest mitsu. dealer.

Now I just have to figure out why they took it out. The pump is probably bad.

I wasn't able to find the part searching online for places like Autozone, O'reilly, Napa, or Advanced.

JNZtuning lists the switch for around $17 and I'm sure there are other supporting vendors that could source it for you.

Awesome man thanks. I'm going to head to a junkyard tomorrow and see if I can't pull a whole ps pump, but if not ill just check out the one you suggested for 17. Thanks again!
