My power locks barely work. I press the unlock button, and they start to budge a little, but dont move. It does this a couple times when I press it, then it dosent move. Other times itll lock or unlock once then just die. What would be wrong?

When my power locks stopped working, it was a connection that goes on the key cylinder. The plastic connector was brittle and came off. Before it finally stopped working it would cut in and out. It was a pain to get up in the door but a simple zip tie got it to work.

Do you have an alarm with the after market actuators, and do they work with it? I plan on getting an alarm with remote start, but have heard the locks may not work with aftermarket actuators.

Had the same problem with the locks getting stuck and killing the battery after sitting for a day or so.So ended putting in an aftermarket solenoid and wired it up just like post 6 and it works great.

Solenoid from amazon,about $6.

Only had to drill a single hole to securely mount the motor.

Had to cut a small square off the door panel styrofoam to give the bracket room to slide back and forth freely.

Cut a square piece of plastic and foam out before sticking it back on.
