This car I'm thinking about getting (a 95 Talon TSI) has a pretty rough idle, especially when it's cold. It has a blow off valve that vents to the atmosphere, so do you think that could be the problem? And if so, is it possible to reinstall a stock one, or even better a 1G BOV on it since it has a Big 16G turbo ported and clipped? Thanks.

I am 99% positive thats why the idle is off. Mine stumbled alot when I forgot to reconnect the BOV return hose. Also, check to see if the BOV return hole on the intake hose is covered..that would screw up idle alot too. What kind of BOV is on it? If the problem is the BOV, def get a 1g and don't vent it. You could check for boost leaks, or if one of the IC pipes came off. Make sure everything is all plugged in. Have you test driven it yet? If its the BOV, it will be stumbling when you let off the gas and sometimes when you get on it.

I'm going to test drive it tomorrow, so I'll check about what you mean with that. So a 1g BOV will work with the big 16g?
