possible engine trouble?

Last night I was pounding my car, and it starts to creep, all the way to 20psi or so. The next thing I hear was a two loud metal clanking sounds from the engine, and a huge puff of smoke from my exhaust. After, I checked my boost gauge and the vaccum and everything was working fine. My turbo spooled fine and the car was running well after. What do you think it could have been.

My car is pretty much all stock except for 3" exhaust and intake.

I'd recommend that you run a compression test immediately to see if you lifted the head and ate the headgasket as a result of overboosting on stock fuel.
