engine trouble

i was driving on the highway and my car starts to slow down. i shifted it down to 4th and didn't change anything. so i pulled over and i knowticed smoke comming out of my engin. so my first thoughts were i over heated it. so when i poped my hood i looked and there was oil over my right side of my engin. when i go to start my car it dosn't click over or anything just wines. my time belt is good. and cams are good. any idea what it may be. i think that its either i blew my head gasket or welded my piston

did you check your temprture gauge before this happen ? was it overheat ?

cause if you overheat the car its not only the Head gasket you will suffer from so many problem i hope not

Find where the oil originated and I bet you'll find your problem soon after.

alrignt well i went to check my oil to see if water got into it and my dip stick cap came off or the actual ruler in the tube. there was no coolant in the hose but had coolant halfway full. dont really know where the oil came from. there was a lil tear in the seal of the gasket so thats were i think that the oil came form.

I would go and replace that gasket and check to see if that was the problem.
Then i would come back and let every one know that was the problem.
If not a little more info so we can better understand you situation.
