popped out of second and now cant go over 20mph in any gear

Car started popping out of 5th gear a few days ago. Ever since its been a bit hard to shift into 1st/2nd and also minor infrequent grinding in all gears. Drove the car all yesterday and while i was in 3rd about to switch to 4th my throttle went dead for like 5 seconds (I put the pedal to the floor and the revs stayed the same, no rise in mph either.)... drove it another 30mins and all was fine.

Started the car today and drove it 5 blocks and all was fine.. was abt to go from second to third from after a stop and it popped out of second and I lost power. Couldnt go ovr 20mph in any gear.

Just put a new stock clutch in it 1200 miles ago, flywheel is abt 2000miles old and was resurfed for the stock one. About to change the master/slave and put some syncromesh in it and hopefully that'll fix it but not sure...

Any other ideas? Thanks
 
Kinda sounds like the mas unit is on its way out. The car can't measure the air flow going into it. I know this because whenever the hoses pop off when accelerating under boost you get the same dead throttle sensation.
 
If it is your tranny's synchros and you have to take it out I would suggest you add the limited slip differential or Lsd.. The trans will be apart anyways and you can order the part from Slow Boy Racing for about $2-300 dollars. That's money well spent IMHO.
 
Well during the process of dropping the tranny I noticed my passenger axle was half way inside the tranny. Like it was outside abt an inch. Also the tranny only had a quart or so of fluid in it. No good.. Clutch looked pretty good but my flywheel has like 7 cracks all on it. Putting in a used resurfaced flywheel tomorrow with a used Excedy clutch and some syncromesh fluid and hopefully all will be well.

Not sure how the hell my axle popped out tho? Any clues?
 
No, the fluid looks alright.. just very black and very little of it. Also the car revs fine, just had a moment once where I lost acceleration at one point... thought it as a symptom. I can redline it, car just doesnt go past 20mph... fairly sure it was the axle causing it but i'm not sure why it popped out of the tranny in the first place.
 
My fluid was low once tranny was shot take it down and inspect the axles, im so glad i had my trans rebuilt it was crap anyway, so every winter i inspect drivetrain components. Just in case. My axle was ok but poping out of gears was a indication that the trans was out and the trans shop clarified that. what esle happened?
 
Alright. So I bolted my tranny back up, reconnected everything and noticed that I have a Passenger ABS axle and my car does not have ABS. Put the axle in as far in as I could and started filling the tranny up with gear oil. After abt 2 quarts filled, the oil began to leak out profusely from the tranny. Leaked out about half a quart... bolted everything back up and it drove the exact same way with the clutch/flywheel/master/slave replaced with the fluid bleed a few times. Also the car does NOT stall when I put it in gear and its not moving.

Really getting tired of this car, i'm hoping its just this abs axle otherwise i'm selling it. Really hoping its not something like the VC gone bad..

Also to update, the car wont drive faster then like 10mph IF that now. 5th popping out and the minor grinding was probably caused by the low gear oil/loose 5th gear nut.
