Was driving my car today, and everything was working normal. Go to pull away from a stop light, but car wont go into first. Finally jammed it into gear and turned around and went home. It is hard to get out of gear and nearly impossible to get in gear. Any ideas on why this could have happened all of the sudden?

Yes, you can simply drop the trans. I have only done it on AWD models, but I would think the FWD ones are a bit easier. Im sure your first time you will have a ton of screaming and headaches, but once you get it out and in a couple times, they really aren't to bad.

Did you try adjusting the rod on the clutch master.

^^ This. Especially if you replaced the slave with a non OEM unit, as the pistons in the "aftermarket" slave and master cylinders are known to be slightly different in design and the position of the seal on the piston is different than that of the OE pieces, which will make adjustment necessary (Please pardon my unwillingnes to turn this into a huge hydraulics discussion, just try doing this and get back to us). Bleed your clutch using the instructions in the link Im posting, adjust your master cylinder rod, and try again.

it looks to me like a clutch problem u should check that small issue with a shop or a good mech, i had the same problem with my old honda back in the day and it ended up, with my tranny in pieces and my clutch all over the place

Im working on taking the transmission out, and the passenger side axle nut will not come off. The driver side came off fine, but I actually broke my ratchet trying to take off the passenger side. The nut is completely rusted onto the threads. Is there anyway I can remove that axle without having to take that nut off? I really dont want to have to cut it off and buy a new axle.
