hey alot of you guys had helped me before on my problem with my car. I just recently picked up a digital multimeter. I believe my tps or maf is bad and I'm not sure what ohms the tps and maf are suppose to read or how to test them in ohms or volts so if someone could help me by telling me what they are suppose to read when they are good and how to test the tps and maf would help me out alot.
 
Okay, smart guy. That's not what I asked for or near it. And I am currently on vfaq and google looking for answers so next time don't be a ass.
 
(some don't know how to teach and help, but loves to critisize for ignorance..oh well, they're the ones on the short end of knowing what they should be knowing...)

Digital VOM's easy to use. the "upsidedown horseshoe" is the OHM's symbol and it should automatically display from ohms to K ohms.

TPS is a tricky one to read since you need an adapter to go between the TPS and it's harness to accurately read the ohms from the output side of the TPS for proper adjustment. But, to test it on a static basis, put the leads across 1 and 4 in the socket with throttle closed where the measurement should be 3.5 to 6.5 Kohms.

The MAF is ohms read only with reading across the sensors-which you read across the pins in the plug. Any difference means the sensors in the MAF are bad and a new MAF (or a one from the yards) is in store..

You place the leads from the VOM across 6 and 8 on the plug (be the row with the one pin missing) and read such: normal outside temp, the resistance should be 2.3 to 3.0 Kohms.

If you got a hair dryer, blow it through the sensor and the resistance should drop to .30 to .42 Kohms
