Hey guys, me and a few buddys decided to take my moms old Plymouth Colt Vista 4wd and cut it apart built a tube frame around the drive train and have some fun with it.
When I was younger I learned to drive manual in this car, and it always ran great, we pulled it out of the wood work and decided to fire it up, we were having no luck getting it going, we have SPARK, and when priming the engine through the intake it runs great till it uses up all the gas.
I pulled the fuel rail and everything seemed to be fairly clean, injectors look fine, but I'm not sure how to tell.
There is also a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail, there is a what appears to be a vacuum line and a intake fuel line hooked to it. We are not getting any fuel by this pressure regulator, I hooked it up with it unbolted, primed the engine through the intake and ran it, no fuel was coming through the fuel regulator.
Could this be my problem? What else could it be? Any tests I should perform to figure out what my fuel delivery problem is?
Thanks a lot guys! I'm excited to learn about these engines, a lot different coming from the diesel world.
