ok well i had a stalling issue so i thought i would change out my plugs and see if that would solve my problem, instead it mad it worse turns out the plugs were all soaked in in dark black liquid. so i went ahead and did a comp test and it was 125 acrosed the board :banghead: any ideas i no it could be piston rings valves or head gasket but how would i go about narrowing the choices down? allso i keep toping of the raditor fluid and it keeps dissapearing :toobad: thanx in advance fellas

Sounds like a head gasket. Start the car and pull the dipstick tube. Yours might not be bad enough but I've seen a few motors actually blow smoke out of the VC vent/Dipstick tube from bad rings too..

Disappearing coolant sounds like a leak or you're burning it (HUGE WHITE CLOUDS)

yeah i get some pretty good sized white clouds

is there a test i can run to narrow down the valves or piston ring or headgasket? the only one im not willing to fix is piston rings sense that involves complete overhaul and i cant afford that time or money wise, head gasket or head swap i can handle

Pull the dipstick and look at the oil. It's probably a brownish/milky color. That'd be headgasket.

The leakdown test will tell you what's wrong.

Change your valve cover gasket and spark plug well gaskets. I bet oil is pooling up in the well, and when you pull the plugs out, the oil runs down the threads onto the tip of the plug. If that's not it, I'd say your valve stem seals could be leaking.

oil on top part porcelin part of spark plugs or on the electrode part? valve cover tube seals leak alot on these. but compression really low, definately do a leak down test to start
