this was pullin out of a tollbooth... goin from 1st to top of 3rd. why does my timing suddenly drop in 2nd gear? what kind of fuel tuning on my AFC should i do? thanks in advance

You're pulling timing around 5k-5.5k. Have you tried to richen it up a bit within that range? You're not reading low o2's, though.

His timing is being pulled because he's in the process of letting off the throttle (which dramatically increases timing, since you're no longer WOT), shifting, and then flooring it again (which will pull timing back down to WOT numbers).

I don't see anything wrong in the log. However, the sample rate sucks. If you have the 2g Pocketlogger (i.e. OBD-II logger), do the sample rate testing to make sure that you're getting the best rates possible for your car. 95-96 DSM's are usually around 10-12 samples per second. There are points in your log that are .8 seconds apart, which is a little much. Also, make sure you're logging only RPM, timing, and O2 to get as many samples as possible.

The best way to log is a long pull from below 3000 rpm's all the way to redline, in 3rd or maybe 4th gear. Looking at logs that include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear acceleration are tougher to see problems.

Ya, what he said. Make sure you just do one gear pulls (choose either a full 3k-7k rpms in 2nd or 3rd only). Judging from this log, though, it seems you are running on the super rich side (.96V) and its effecting your timing (ending at 15°). A good 'rule of thumb' for 2g's is .91-.92V for a daily driven car at WOT and timing ending at around 20#°-24°. Lean it out some and do the sample rate test on the logger software.

This is going to be my post of quotes from this thread:

awd4g63 does not know what he's talking about. Let me let tigerstalon explain it with the correct answer:

Agree.

And agree. Although I also log tps so I can see when I got WOT, but if you're doing it in 3rd gear then it's pretty obvious. And if you have a low sampling rate to begin with, then it's not work logging the extra variable.

Again, you have to give the disclaimer that you can't use o2 voltages to tune by. After that, I would say .96 is slightly rich, not super rich. And most 2g people shoot for .94, not really .91 and .92. But it all depends on your comfort level and timing advance. If I see, .92, I richen my car up...
