Please help with exhaust setup

Im sorry im such a noob with exhauts because i've never had experience with them before... I bought my car with a custom exhaust, I think it has an aftermarket downpipe to a resinator or cat?? then to an magna flow muffler, I removed the cat or resinator(I'm sorry I dont know if it was a res or a cat) and replaced it with a striaght pipe. The car sounds like a raspy loud piece of shit. I want to buy something cheap off ebay that will give it a quiter crisp sound. Should I buy a high flow res or a high flow cat and what cat back exhaust, im just very confused. Im looking for my car to sound like this.

Almost all 2G owners are big fans of the SRS catback from eBay. As far as a downpipe, just keep the straight piping you have and bolt up the SRS catback to it and enjoy Or you can go RRE or Apexi for the downpipe, but both can be pricey unless you find one used.

I don't think that Camry sounds very good at all. If you want your car to sound awesome then just straight pipe it all the way back

my 97 came with a catback i put a downpipe3' and took out the cat and it sounds pretty good. not too loud but still put out noise
