Hello guys,
I'm new here. I am 22 years old and learning the mechanic.
I own a 93 Eclipse GS, it's the euro version 4G63 N/T with 150hp.
So far i've got a stainless 4-2-1 header and a Magnaflow muffler with 3" tip.
Also i've de-catted it.
I am not satisfied with the sound of my exhaust. It sounds like it wants to come out but it somehow can't.
I mean even Hondas around here sound alot better than my 1g, i can't live with that. So maybe you guys have some tips, maybe i need a better muffler? Is there something better that i can maybe import from the states?
Also i was thinking about taking my Magnaflow muffler and simply burn all the stuff whats inside it...
Hope you can help me

Here is a link for my exhaust vid

Seriously, that's the greatest sounding 1g NT I've ever ever heard. I would have killed for my old one to sound like that.

Trust me. Keep it that way. Please. It sounds ausgesichtnett!

Thats what im saying :thumb:. Pacesetter gets a thumbs down from me.

Sorry spitty. I had a bit of trouble last night. As i was turning into my college last night my car decided jerk and vibrate extremely hard, pop out of gear, and come to a stop. I messed with it a bit and now it shifts better than before, but whines pretty loud under deceleration. I have no idea what happened.

I agree with people here when they say that sounds real nice. How you can use a honda to compare to that is unknown. Every honda i see around the cities sounds like their cousins, the lawn mowers. And your 1g does sound good. I did notice you only said you got the 4-2-1 header, and muffler, and cat delete. So does that mean you redid the whole exhaust? I mean the header all the way back to the muffler with 3-3.5 inch piping? Either way,why would you want to sound like a honda? Trust us when we say that sounds fine. If You do want it louder id say go with a 4" outlet muffler, a round can style. They have tons of choices on ebay, double looped, slanted, downward tip ( btw it looks ugly) basically anything..

It sounds great, but to each their own. Good luck, and I sorta wish mine sounded like that:):hellyeah:

As other people have said your car sounds amazing for a N/T. As for the muffler, I have a vibrant stealth dual tip to be put on my car. I have heard them on our cars before and they sound great. They are loud when you want them to be.
