ok 95 gst was running great from what was told went to look at it and injector 2 was out so he got stock injectors found out that 660 were in it befor now when i went to drive it it pulls hard till about 5500 to 6000 and breaks up? shoudl i do a walbro 255 will that help? its runnin 14psi or should i get different injectors or could it be something else thanks for your time

We are going to need more information than you gave us to be able to help you out.

I looked at your profile and didn't see a Wideband Oxygen sensor. I would highly recommend getting one, it could save you an engine! You could be running lean and not know about it. Sure, you could try and start adding mods to it blindly but in the end you would still need one.

14psi is not that much, so you got to have some very obvious issues with it. I would start witht the basics: make sure no boost leaks, all sensors pluged in, good compression, no CEL.. etc.

But more than likely, since you say it ran fine before the injectors were swapped, it's not getting enough fuel. The spark plugs should be able to tell the tale.

Try hooking up a vaccum line straight to your wastegate so that you could run the lowest boost your turbo would allow and see if it will run better. If it does, you know you are running out of fuel.

The description doesn't match fuel-cut at all.

Running out of fuel, as suggested above, or maybe it's the ignition. But I really like the idea of getting a wide-band, no matter what.

This.. this is just hard to read.

If you found out a car had 660cc injectors in it, why in the world would you EVER put smaller ones in without doing a single other thing. If it was tuned for the 660cc injectors, and you just threw smaller ones in there, you are leaning out up top BIG time.

Please get a wideband... or talk to the previous owner about the tune.

Has wideband forgot to put it and runs lean all the time I plugged the stock computer in with EPROM and dsmlink v2 but I don't have the cable and I didn't put the stock injectors in the guy I got it from did :( also found that the boost line coming from the waste hate was goin into the line going to the bov that's why it was pulling 28 pounds so I tapped the j pipe and now running better but really need a way to tune it cus now it runs good at idle and wot but trying to drive normal it starts breaking up and shakeing forcing me to shut it off then restart sorry about the first post guys I was just a little fustrated does anyone have dsmlink for sale or the cable and adapter that I need? Also if I put 660 back in it should it run right since that was the last tune it had there greddy denso 660 injectors thanks alot guys for taking the time to help

Also if you have or no anyone with dsmlink v2 cable and obd2 adapter please private message me or if you have dsmlink v3 for sale please private message me

Wow, you were running on smaller injectors and max boost! Not sure what you meant by tapping the J pipe, but it could be running rough because you might have boost leaks.

It is very cheap and easy to make a DYI boost leak tester, the only main thing you need is compressed air. The car is going to run like absolute crap even with a small leak and chances are you got several.

From the sound of it, if you put the 660's back in, it should run better. Assuming it was tuned correctly for them. But since, you are looking at getting an ecm-link anyways, just find the injectors that fit your goals with the car and then adjust for them through the link.

The main thing you want to do right now is, being able to log your Air Fuel Ration and Knock.

I would still recommend to run the lowest boost until you get everything else sorted out! And do a compression test, just incase.

P.S. I have a V3 that i don't need but it's in a '91 5 speed ecu

I tapped the j pipe so I could run the boost line to the wastegate so I could run just wastegate boost like I tapped a vacuum nipple cus it didn't have one like I said I didn't build it I'm just fixing everything and I'm not even driving it now cus I don't want to blow it up so I'm not driving it or romping on it and I looked at dsmlink like the link you sent but if u read it they don't sell the v2 cable for a 2g anymore and I cannot upgrade Becus I don't have the adapter that's why I posts to see if anyone talking to me in this thread had one

Oh ok, i don't think a stock J pipe has one of those nipples, that's why i was confused.. LOL

The car should still be able to run just fine even with stock injectors on very low boost. So, if you can't get it to work on low boost, it doesn't matter what injectors you put in it. Like i said, make sure you have no air leaks when pressurizing your intake system at the turbo.

This site has a lot of good write-ups on how to do that. Check the articles sub-section in the forums!

Not sure if you are allowed to do it now, since you are still a new member, but a classifieds section could be good for finding that cable.

Just take your time with the car and don't try to rush anything, as tempting as it might be. That way you would actually get to enjoy it down the line :)

Yea 14psi is the lowest I can go and that running on just waste gate and I'm not trying to rush it I'm not gonna drive it till its fixed and there's no boost leaks had my friend use his boost leak tester

So it has DSMLink V2 in it tuned for 660s? You need to run 660s if you can't connect and change your settings. So you can't see a log and have no idea if you are knocking?

How lean does it run all the time? What was your AFR when you were driving it and it was breaking up? What fuel pump is in it? Stock?

Have you pulled your plugs to see if the very lean condition + lack of fuel system + 28psi boost has obliterated your plugs? Or if there is a bunch of shiny metallic crap all over them from detonation?

And you can run lower boost if you take the WG actuator off the flapper arm! Like ZERO boost til you figure this out if you have to drive it...

It's parked and walbro 255 and i got it running 14psi and the AFR gauge says 10ricj to 20 lean and when I'm in wot it's 12 to 13 off the gas it runs rich on the gas a little pegs 20 lean then runs rough till I shut it off and restart it

Try gapping your sparkplugs tighter and also check your tune such as the a/f at wot all the way to 7000rmp. Also check your boost gauge to see if your boost is creaping past 14psi in the high rpms. Let me know the numbers.

I have nothing to tune it with that's my problem I have v2 that is suppose to be tuned to 660 injectors and I'm running stock injectors like I stated befor ive been looking for a v2 adapter or someone selling v3 I think that's my while problem that I'm running lean cus the ecu thinks I'm running 660 and there stock

So you have v2 dsmlink? just open up link on the laptop and zero out your fuel trims in link if your back on stock injectors also clear out the global deadtimes. Hopefully you can find a cable.:thumb:
