My turbo kit is not here yet, should be one more week since these past couple weeks i bought some other things like HKS Carbon Ti catback, TIEN Coilover Kit, Pod Piller Gauges, Greddy Turbo Timer, now I want to get the Pistons and rings and rods.

What is everyone else doing and where can i get these for a 420a or does it matter if it a 4g63 pistons, all i want is it to be around 9:1 or 10:1?

I just don't want to crack my piston if i go over by some kind of a accident 10psi.
Thanks

Why not just save money in the long run and go with the 8.6:1 from HowellAutomotive? If for some reason your boost surges (not like its actuated by your wastegate.....) then you wont have much to worry about. Hell you should be able to run 10Psi if you have an intercooled system.

Should I do the 2.0 Performance Bottom end Long Rod Kit or normal rod kit and should what should i have the bore size, main bearing size, and rod bearing size be, I know a guy that will port my block so, I just have never diped into this part before

Thanks

i've got the long rod kit from howell and its great,go with the long rod kit from howell is the same price as the reg, 8:6:1 compression is were u want to be(easier to tune)bore should be 20 over(well that what i did) and everything else u can leave alone.another route..if u can afford some down time u might want to send ur block to VT engines aswell, from what i hear they do great work on 420a motor.also u might want to upgrade ur injectors for more boost with a built block.hope that helps...

Ya, got new injecters too, just for got to put that down. what is the web site for this place that does that. thanks

Ok been searching every where and no one has a clear cut answer for my question, will 4g63 pistons fit in a 420a???

i have a HRC turbo and custom made piping with a greddy type s BOV that was ruing 5-6 psi for about 2 days before blowing my piston ring so now i am looking for new pistons but am very low on cash and found some one with very cheap stock 4g63 pistons and i need to know if they will work.

thankz :talon:
