Piston ring size

I am Ordering Piston rings for my car(4g63) and my cylinders are bored .050 over. I need to know the correct size of piston rings that I should order. I am thinking 86mm am I correct? Can someone verify and help me out? Thanks!

I read your other thread. Are you sure there will be no boring necessary for your new build?
.060"+ is about really the highest they make pistons for I believe. This is equivalent to the bore on a 4g64/G4CS 2.4 block/s.
I've actually never seen .050+. Only std, .020",.040", and .060"+

86mm is .040 over. Every .010 over is .25mm over. 25 mm = 1 inch.

I have never seen .050 overs. Are you sure it's not .500 over, which means mm not inches, so it would be 85.5mm, aka .020 over? I believe .020 over is the most common overbore with these engines.

Okay I'm thinking that you are right. I just removed some carbon off the top of the piston to find the machine stamp and it read .50 . So that would be 20 over then?

I have a buddy that works at a machine shop we are just going to pull the pistons and hone the cylinders and put the rings on. I'm am trying to do everything I can without pulling the motor from the car.
