Thats really cool. Mine are projectors now with a chromed reflector. I am thinking of havin them painted black on the inside. I upgraded my side marker lights with ones from the 2007 eclipse and they give the headlight a blueish purple shimmer when they are off.

Is that an Evo Intercooler you have there? I like how it fits behind your talon bumper. I need to upgrade to a larger intercooler in a few months and if that worked out for you I would definatly get one. If its an Evo intercooler what year is it from? Thanks Alot!

i love the look of the gutted engine bay, i am thinking about giving it a try but i dont know where to start, is it a hard thing to do,(ex. ac, battery, fuses, air box) just looking at it makes me so overwelmed. anyone can help, it would be great

dark_kid_racing, does it not bother you that the turbo mani is basically resting against the water outlet pipe/radiator hose?

This is my DSM 420a as of last weekend. I have since cleaned it and today had a new Candy red intake manifold installed with 270cc injectors from Hahn Racecraft. The Wastegate is a Tial 38 mm and Turbo is a Turbonetics T3/T4 60.

This setup is posted in the Treadstoneperformance.com gallery TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE - TreadstonePerformance.com Galleries

Check Car blog for progress. ! I will be installing a Stainless Steel Turbo Heat shield for about 35 dollars this weekend if weather permits.:talon:

Codename: Upgrade, Xbox 360 Talon

i thought the same thing, thats why i used heat tape, fiberglass heat wrap around the rad. hose, and high temp coating to reflect as much as possible...... And as far as what ive done, like revving high, and letting it idle for an hour, nothing bad has happend, by the way there is 1 mm clearance whichi better than none, but im satisfied right now. ill let ya know if aything changes but so far so good. and there s alittle heat tape between the mani and the water neck.

I would consider making one of tubular metal and having it ceramic coated. Probably more durable, reliable, and effective. Something like MauriceRS-T's...

i may do that down the road, but as we all know money's always the issue, but this works for now, but if i come up with something youll know. But thanks for the idea. now i just need to put nice fresh gas in the tank and tune the biotch!

You are correct about seeing it on eBay, but i'm the one who put it there. Was trying to sell it but as you can see it didn't sell so i decided to keep it awhile longer and dump more money into it.

Kewl..... If you dont mind me asking, Who made the exhaust mani? And how much power are you putting down?

A friend of mine built it for me back in AZ. As far as HP, I was told by the mech. who built it for me that it should be putting out @400hp. But without being put on the dyno i can't say for sure.

Off topic posts removed... Remember guys, pictures of turbocharged engine bays and questions directly relating to those pictures only. Feel free to start new threads about exhaust manifold design theory or any other topic not suitable for this thread.

Most or not all of us have removed our safety bumper to install the IC. I removed mine, but I've got a pretty large IC (And still working on installing my whole kit). You can go ahead and try it out and tell us how that goes. Although I don't know how that would look. If it's pretty lookin' or whatever. :dsm:

Well I finally finished my Stage 2 conversion using an eBay 6.5" FMIC and universal 2.5" piping kit. I did save the front safety bumper modifying holes on either end. Ended up using the old CAI pipe that no longer had a use. Luckily, a friend of a friend had a bead bending tool which saved me from all of those bends being in the middle of the pipes and able to mod the CAI pipe.
