I'm kinda glad you said that cause that's what i thought. Don't get me wrong it looks good. But it's not what i was expecting as the radius is not tight enough, i'm all over my alternator. Here is the pic with it on the car. I was expecting pie cuts to be welded together especially what i paid for it, plus a pie cut design could make a tighter turn. I have contacted Jim about it and i'm awaiting his response. If I have to use this thing, i'm gonna have to change my whole setup. I will need to relocate my alt, which will make me find a new spot to mount my coils as i have the coil relocation to the ac mounting holes to accommodate my jmf race smim. So this is really bothering me right now. I already have an oil relocation kit on the way so that's not big deal but didn't want to move alternator as that will cost me a lot more money as I will either need to custom make some plug wires or change to a C.O.P setup.

There's quite a bit of room there....

Not exactly sure what you think your problem right there is...It looks to me you have AT LEAST a 1 inch gap between your o2 and the alternator....

I've had o2 housing that you can't even squeeze a 12mm bolt in between....

If your worried about the heat from the o2 frying your alternator get a small metal plate made that bolts to the block using the 12/14 mm bolts (not exactly sure...it's been a while..) behind the waterpipe...

There is a little less than an inch . My old exhaust didn't get that close. I think i'm gonna try to ceramic coat the O2 housing and then wrap it like i did my exhaust manifold and see what happens.

I would just coat it not wrap it. I don't like the idea of wrap because it can retain water and heat up, cool down, heat up and eat away at the metal. Also, it will retain salt (I live in Detroit which is like the salt capital of the United States) and salt can corrode the metal.

+1 on running it. I know it looks nice being stainless but I suggest giving it a few coats of Rust-O-Leum BBQ Black and install it. Its close to the alternator but it won't short on it or kill it as fast as you think. My PR o2 housing is just as close and it doesn't kill the alternator, you've just got to be sure to disconnect the battery if you're working down there.

Well i'm gonna run it, but I just sent it out to Tirado for some ceramic coating. I figure that will help alot with temps. Carlos told me that wrapping as well as coating will cut down on heat even more than just the coating, so i think i'm gonna do that as well. It worked good with my punishment racing tubular manifold that Carlos coated for me. I found out that the jays racing alternator relocation will work with my coil pack relocation so if I kill the alternator I will relocate it to the other side.

Yeah I'm making my own dp. I paid $300 for the housing. Sorry for the delayed response.
