As you pointed out, we are talking about all out Garret turbos. Oddly enough, it seems that 60-1 wheels stuck in machined Mitsu housings "seem" to perform better (if that is what Frank 5 and Red are using). There is probably more to it than just the wheel, so you might be in a better shape than us (using your hybrid turbo).

SBR claims full spool around 4k rpms with their mitsu 60-1 hybrid. that doesnt sound bad, what kind of rpm were you hitting full boost at, GRNDSM? high 4k to low 5k? i would appreciate anyone else oppinion who has had experience with the SBR 60-1, i am planning on running this turbo and it WILL be street driven.

Personally I would either use a TDO6H wheel or clip the TDO6 slightly. I think you will be restricting flow at high boost. Of course you could always get some sort of mechanical pressure gauge, tap the exh manifold collector, and actually measure backpressure to find out. With all the turbo setups people go through it suprises me that more don't do that.

All this talk about the 60-1 being laggy had be a little worried, then I remembered my Mustang worthy shot of liquid power adder, and lag doesn't seem to worry me as much. :D
 
On topic, the cage looks awesome. What kind of money did you have doing this yourself? Mild steel or chrome moly?

On a turbo note. I ran a 60 trim, and a stage V wheel in a .63 housing for 3 years.... Trying to get more out of it... Useless.... However, going from 93 mph in the 1/8 to 126-129 on the big end... priceless.

It's Mild, because I don't have a TIG :( I had about $300-$350 in materials (the hoop, strut kit, fasteners, hardware and paint) and probably 20 hours working time.
