Nice work. Did your pressure plate fingers kind of flatten out once you torqued it down?

yea i belive so, they get pushed in when u tighting everything up, but what i just discovered is that my tranny is started to go bad anyways, so im just gonna order a used tranny with like 30k from hmotors for 300$, atleast its covered for 90days, sux cause in a week its all gotta come back out again, maybe ill submit pics of the new tranny install, hehe, anyways the problem why this tranny has to come out is cause 3rd gear is still grinding, and if u push it hard into second it will grind a little bit, so im just gonna replace the whole damn thing, i had enough of grinding.

why didn't you just pull the axle out of the transmission, it's much easier to just pop it out of the tranny than to unbolt it from the hub and whack it out. You can pull it up and out of the way and ziptie it to your shock.

wow nice job man and in the parking lot too! ever think about making some friends at a shop? j/k
any who my question is, how is the three puck clutch disk compared to the one you replaced it with? did you replace an ACT 2100? can you still slip the clutch or is it now more of an on/off deal?

well i took out an act 2600 clutch the main difference i seen between these 2 is my act 2600 is spring loaded, and this 3puck is not, which makes my car shake if u take off below 3,000rpms, which im fine with, the stage 2 exedy's pressure plate is much more softer and easier on my foot in traffic then the act2600, and by the way i just moved down here in florida, i dont know many people as it is, let alone shop owners, and second i have my own garage i could have done it in, but when its 70 degrees out, and beautiful to work on outside in the fresh air and nice breeze, plus i have way more room to move around., anyways thanx for the compliment.

Thanks for the reply! a few more for ya
Are there not any springs in this disk? also hows the engagment between the three puck and street disk?

oops, mybad, its been like a week, i actually forgot, i could have sworn that the exedy wasnt sprung, maybe its the act 2600 thats unsprung, eh idk ill have to look at it again,

hows that exedy workign out, my friend has a exedy setup, but I think his is a street type disc and his flywheel is exedy as well, but his car is not running yet so we have yet to tell how well it holds up. Did a clutch job on my car as well last sunday, new act street disc, the springs on my disc decided to get loose and were rattling in their enclosure, one had so much play I swear it could have popped out anytime soon if I still kept the disc on there. Its a pita job and im surprised you didnt move the intake pipe to get more space int eh bay. My trans is leaking a lil bit of fluide from the seals of the top/front (left side) of the case, So within the next few weeks Ill be planning on getting under there and taking the case off to put new rtv and doing this mod while im at it http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html - go to drivetrain and then hit "Shifter movement fix" oh yeah and HOLY OLD SCHOOL TQ WRENCH BATMAN!

LOL you talking abouy my sweet trq wrench?, LOL that is oldschool baby, works the best.

i had a 3 puck to :( daily drove that thing for about 6 months, then all of a sudden wouldnt shift, tore it apart and the center piece could move around about 3-4mm, thus the pieces on top that are missing. dont get me wrong, that is an awesome clutch, which i will likely get again. i could chirp the front tires when i launched it :)
