toronto,
I work at a dealership and i got one of the techs to install a Centerforce Stage 1 Clutch and a Fidanza Flywheel for me today.

He took it for a spin and said it was fine after the install, BUT:
1. when i drove it the clutch fell straight to the ground. This is a racing clutch, so it should be stiffer and harder than stock/not mushy, im guessing that he didn't bleed the SS clutch line after. It would catch gear, but it felt unbelievably mushy (didn't stick to the ground). Normal?
2. when i shifted (clutch caught gear) i could actually hear and feel the tranny shifting and moving, most likely he didn't tighten all the bolts or he missed one. Normal?
3. my temperature went straight up past high and activated my fans. I remember him telling me that when he lowered the tranny he broke off one of the sensors (we thought it was the speedo sensor, because that wasn't moving either)

Im unbelievably frustrated with him, and going to give him hell tomorrow morning.

btw, this is a Mazda dealership, so I'm kinda leanient...

Most likely he didn't bleed the line and didn't adjust it properly. You have to be a complete idiot to not tighten all the bolts that hold the clutch and flywheel together so I doubt this is the case. Most likely a bleed and adjustment will take care of it.

About the tranny moving, should i wait for the required 500 miles to make sure it settles in place? or is it a definate re-adjustment?
