Plans / goals for this car

I am looking to breach 600hp FWD running auto trans (I just prefer autos) and still a good street car.(for when my 420a is being built mainly)
So far I have FIC 1050 injectors AFPR 8an fuel lines from tank to rail
ARP head studs lower bolts
Going to get either a HX-35 or 40
FMIC with pipeing
I am leaning towards AMS EMS for tuneing
272 BC cams
What I need advice on is the pistons rods bearings HG springs ect.
I have seen people running Evo springs with the 272 cams with MLS HG's and 3g lifters.
To meet my goal with this block do I need to get forged internals or can I keep with 1g rods with 2g pistons.
I am gona have the block and head hot tanked and decked if needed and I think I have to have the holes in the head and block drilled out to 12mm to accept the arp studs?
Anything else I need to have them do while they have the block?(I am wanting to have oil squirters installed) once I have everything ready I will have the rotateing asy balanced

I am gona do the tear down of this motor sunday to make sure everything is up and up I will post pics once I got it all tore down.

It appears to be NT from the throttle body, Turbo TB's have elbows that bolt to them.

Just curious as to why you're going with AEM? From what I've seen it's a little difficult to tune with on our cars, ECMLink is cheaper and more user friendly with a big community behind it.

The head and block do not need drilled for studs, they will thread right in. Also you may not want to hot tank the head, it is aluminum and can warp fairly easy, my machine shop didn't recommend hot tanking my head at all, they just put it in a huge parts washer and it turned out great. I would also recommend getting a valve job done to the head and get it pressure tested.

You could probably achieve your 600HP goal with 1g rods and 2g pistons with a large turbo, but you may not want to throw a ton of boost at it. If you want something that's going to last a long time atleast get some Forged pistons (Weiseco's) and Forged rods. You can go with ACL Tri-Metal Race rod and main bearings if you have the money for it, or Clevite 77's will do just fine as well.

But for you to make 600HP it's really going to depend on your turbo and tune for the most part. Have you thought about which turbo you're going with? Also are you going to have your transmission built? With that kind of power it may not last too long.

From what I have been able to find AEM EMS is about the same as DSM link cost wise (I used standalone EMS on my Trans am for about 8 months)

I will be running either a Holset HX 40 just bought one off E-bay a few min ago and a rebuild kit for it.

And I may go with a Meth kit but that will be after I get it running and broke in.

I was hopeing to cut my costs a bit but it seems I will have to get forged internals Wesco pistons and Egale rods

The car is a 1995 GST sorry for not putting that in the first post.

i think with eagle rods wiesco pistons and the holset hx40. your goal of 600hp is definely achievable

Do you know what the motor came out of? I suppose you could just look for a knock sensor to know if its a turbo

Those are greytop 390cc automatic turbo injectors. . . That looks like an evo throttlebody or an n/t throttlebody. . . ???

Get a good flashlight and look into the spark plug holes if it says 63T on the pistons crowns, it has turbo pistons.
