Hey fellow DSM rider's , I've recently noticed on my boost gauge that the peak light is blinking, but the kid that sold me the car told me the boost gauge was set for knock. I watch the boost from the greddy E01, thats been set at 14psi low, 17psi high boost, but the car is boosting about 20 psi. I dont know if that is related to the peak light blinking. If any one has V2.5, is it possible to pm me a copy of a tune? I cant find no one to tune my car, my car has 650cc ,Evo 3 16g , FMIC, Greddy BOV, 3" exhaust, and Walbro 225 of coarse it has a 6 bolt bottom end. So if any one can help me with the boost light and the tunning issue I would grealty apprieciate it. Thank You. :idontknow: :dsm:

how is a boost gauge set up to read knock? what kind of gauge is it?

With a chipped ecu the factory boost gauge can be set to read numerous things. AFR, Knock, Volts, Boost.....

As far as the boost spiking, this is a dummy light on the Greddy unit correct? I know it doesn't exactly solve the problem the way you would like, but couldn't you just turn the boost down on the controller and it wouldn't run 20psi anymore? Or is it spiking to 20 psi no matter what you set the controller to? Forgive me as I'm not 100% familiar with the E-01. As far as tuning goes for V2.5, I'm sure there are various maps lingering around for your tune. Just know that every car is different, so read as much as possible about tuning, and what is safe for your car. DSMLink is pretty user friendly as far as tuning goes, so have some patience, and prepare to stare at this screen for a little while. :thumb:

Thanks for the one's that help out with these problems, it the peak light on the boost gauge and E01 one is set at 17 psi so my question is why would it boost pass 17 hit number like 20-23 psi and the gauges i have read exhaust temp, and it a boost gauge that was set to read knock is what i was told

You're very confusing. What gauge(brand) are you reading the 20 psi from? What gauge(brand) are you getting the peak light flashing? The previous owner is most likely referring to the stock boost gauge in the dash which can be set to read knock.

I read the boost from the E01, I also have a boosted gauge in the pillar that is the one that is blinking and that is the gauge i was told is reading knock but it's clearly read boost and peak light is blinking and they are DEPO with all the pretty color's

More than likely the boost gauge in your pillar is reading boost not knock. The light should be programmable to blink when you hit high boost as a warning. Your stock boost gauge may or may not be re-programmed for knock. You should be able to tell with a laptop and looking at your DSMLink settings.
You really won't be able to tell where your aftermarket boost gauge in the pillar's input coming from with out tracking it down. (ie pressure line running to the engine bay, wires running to a pressure sensor mounted in the engine bay or down to the ECU.) You could do a pressure test on the intake to see what gauges respond to pressure.
If your boost is set to 17 and your over- boosting to 20 psi, Sounds like you may have other issues. with the boost controller, blow off or waste gate.

Sounds like you are the only one who get's it , Thank's im leaning towards waste gate

There should be a few different people who can tune link in the orlando area. If not, come down south to ASAPerformance and they can tune it for you.

Thanks!
Your DSMlink "tune" has nothing to do with your boost gauge reading. Link can be programmed to use your ECU outputs to trigger other functions than what they were originaly intended. But that won't be in the "tune" It is a function of DSMlink. Most commonly the CEL is programmed to indicate knock and not a gauge.
Have you pulled the pillar boost gauge yet and tracked down the input?
