I just bought a 95 gsx. The boost gauge is working but the light bulb wire is cut off so i would like to know which wire to hook up to, to get the light to light up the boost gauge. there is no wire behind the boost guage.

ahh the infamous, not accurate, really means nothing boost gauge. i really wouldn't worry about it, it is not accurate and can not be used for tuning. sometimes mine doesn't even move until i hit 13psi or doesn't even show full boost when i am at 20+ psi. it is controlled by the electronics not vaccum so don't worry about it just save for a decent 30psi boost gauge and a pillar pod. have fun

the pin in the boost gauge moves, but the light is not on. I looked on the back of the guage and the light bulb wire is not hooked up. Where can i find the wire to hook up to to have the light on.

i know your light doesn't work but all i am saying is leave it alone and what is there to see? it is not accurate and it can't be used for tuning so that leaves the needle moving. if your wanting to see a needle move up and down then you and my dog in the garage have a thing in commen except his is a tennis ball moving up and down. im kinding with you, all i am saying is leave it alone don't worry about it.

OK, i will tell you but, remember what i said. there is a little round knob on your left side by your door on your dash that is your dimmer switch. on the back side of that is a harness it is black with wires there you can find a wire that is activated when the lights turn on and dim when dimmer is used. to find it use a light tester and probe each wire while leaving the lights on. probe the wire, if light turns on while probing hold probe in same postion and turn the lights off the tester should turn off with the lights if not go to the next wire. if you found it good if not try again, if you found it turn lights on while probing wire dim the lights the tester should dim aswell. if it did you have found the exact one. extend the wire coming from the boost gauge and tap into the wire you have found. before you start you need to take off the lower dash. it is held with phillps screws and 10mm bolts have those handy when removing. after removal sit on your back with your head on the floor board and a shop light then you will be able to see what your doing. now while your at it you know can remove your CLUTCH ENGAGMENT SWITCH. it is attached to your clutch pedal at the top in a white harness. unplug that and you can start your car without engaging the clutch. have fun
