I would find a way to plug it. I believe that one is "Ported" vacuum. Which means it only sees vac/boost when the throttle plate is open.

On 97-99 model eclipse, the vac lines changed slightly. Yours is not supposed to have that vac line, assuming nothing has been changed in your car and has all been kept the same.

you should be alright. 97-99 models dnt have that vacuum line, only 95-96 .mine doesnt either. if you take a close look at it you can see that its fully closed on the inside so no leaks there :hellyeah: that is assuming that nothing has been changed in your car like Dsmj89 said.

well, like i said i for sure never messed with it... and it did look pretty stock when i got it over a year...

and i sure hope i alright like this...

might i plug it for peace of mind ?

I believe there is no hole there. It is already plugged from factory. If you want you can put a dab of jb weld but in all honesty it would be pointless.
