Painting UICP gloss black?? Will it affect performance??

Just got my Dave Brode UICP...wanting to paint it. If I paint if with 500 degree ceramic engine enamel, in gloss black, will the black effect the temperature in the air in the pipe?? I also have the same paint, in silver/aluminum though. The black would look better...but I'm just wondering if the black would make the pipe heat up more..I thought that since it's ceramic paint, it wouldn't really make any difference. & yes, I know powder-coating is the way to go.

unless you're running around with a transparent hood, then no it won't matter.

hehe--- no it wont effect anything.. the ceramic may even help insulate it a smidge.
