Painting Intake Manifold

Hey guys I am thinking about painting my intake manifold and was just wondering how hot the intake manifold gets in degrees, because I need to know what temperature paint to buy.

I would get it powder coated for durability. I don't think you will be happy with just painting it.

I got some 500 degree red, and it seems to be holding up.

i used high temp engine paint. looks alright.

ya i would say 500 degrees would hold up just fine if it got over 200 i would be worried about your motor. clear coat though makes it look real nice

The 1200* paint has ceramic in it and the black looks kind of brownish in color. So I used the 1200* for my heat shield and 500* for IC pipes and intake manifold. Here's mine... I just did it like 2 weeks ago:

The intake doesn't get very hot. Lighter colors may "tarnish" with time.
