Why do people give the "keep it stock answer" in the exterior MODIFICATION section?

I also think it looks good and definately original.

I don't know? Perhaps I don't like the "fat" tail light look. I think it gives them a "Supra" style, and I don't like it. They're just too round.

it does look a touch supraesque, but aside from that i like it, i think it gives them a more well rounded look (like the 2g itself) and it is certainly unique. I'd consider it on mine if I didn't already have other plans for it <insert evil hand rubbing here and mad scientist laugh here> :D

Nice man! How the hell did you keep it so even...

I traced the pattern on there and then the scary part....
I etched the line free hand with a dremel. I tried making a form to follow, but with the curve of the panel, there was no way to assure an even depth.

One could add any shape really. I thought about a couple of round circles.

Maybe cause he said he wanted opinions on it .. .. meaning good/bad/ugly .. if all he gets are good cute fluffy comments he'll be lead the wrong way .. both sides is always better.

Personally i think its pretty cool .. my suggestion is that id work on the inner curves if i was you .. the ideas sweet .. but im not sure i like the curves on the center plate. Anyway its a sweet idea! :thumb:

looks dope...they dont look supra, they look more RSX...people on these forums think everything looks like a supra

you get originality points and thats an interesting approach, I dont think it looks bad at all- Makes me wonder what it would look like if it was made to a point not so round...

You should see what you can do about making the unpainted section actually a light.... put it to use..... form follows function my friend, form follows function!

You didn't do a bad job, but I think the chopped off appearance looks better. The ultimate would be to leave it stock then add a light to the center plate. I haven't seen anyone do this and won't attempt it myself until I see it done.
