So i picked up the car completly primered with a few dings and scratches here and there. Wasn't too concerned with a showroom shine, just shooting for a decent solid color. Here ya go..........

That's looks good man. I have a black gst that's got some rough paint. I'm trying to figure out what color I want it before I put money into it. I like the black but I don't have air and it gets way to hot haha

Should of left it primered. Nah just kidding, looks great though. Reminds me of my car, I used to have 2ga skirts and 2gb bumper.

Good job dude. How was it painted?

Well I used a spray gun at my shop. The paint was nothing fancy, just an enamel based automotive paint. Haven't put any clear on it yet though. I also forgot to soak my gun the night befor so there are some spots that are a bit thiner than others. After i let it set throught the week im gona gently wash it and see what some gentle waxing can do. But all in all im happy(for now). I feel so much more comfortable driving it. I don't feel like people are looking at me thinking"Wow, there goes another ricer that can't finish a car".

Thanx for all of the positive feedback!

Nice! Glad to see my old GST ended up in good hands! Still can't wait for you to bring her by so I can see her again.

The black primer - for the record, was done well after it left my hands. Some kid got a hold of it and painted over the clear with black spray paint. The black primer came after sanding it all down. Trust me, it looked terrible before hand.

Only a base coat :sneaky: wet sand then get the clear on there. Pretty glossy as is though

didnt think you had to clear enamals?! thought that was a one shot paint system. thought you only had to clear laquers and urethanes?

Just mask the bumper off and spray the cooler with aluminum colored spray bomb. I dont think you could ever get the overspray off the fins on the intercooler IMHO.
