Painted my wheels

hey boost if you dont mind what kind of sand paper did you use? and how many steps to sand it?

Theres some good looking wheels in here if theyve been painted at home. My stock wheels are so far beyond scraped and bent that Im not worried about putting something nice on them. I sprayed the duplicolor charcoal/gunmetal paint on them a couple years back. Its held up ok... Im gonna strip it all soon and try the bronze color this time around. maybe Ill spend a little more time on them to make them look better. When I put the current coat on, it was a rushed job. took maybe a half hour total but looks pretty good from 10 feet back.

Yah those are the same wheels, first they were black w/ polished lip then all black, then black w/ white lip, now bronze. I may end up going back with the black with white. that's why I have only done two of them. I really didn't use and sandpaper the first couple times, I just cleaned them really good. this time with the bronze I took a medium grit and then a fine grit to them it's looks ten times better when prepped properly.

Decided I don't like black rims with polished lips so I repainted mine all black this time. I like them a lot better all black!

Boost4U, did you ended up keeping black and white or bronze on your rims?

I actually did 2 in bronze and threw them on the car so I can decide which I like better, I'm leaning more towards white/black. What does everybody else think?

I think I'm about to get some GST wheels and do them black and white like I did my wheels.

I like the black and white too, Boost! There are some inspirational ideas in this thread too... nice find for me! :D

I noticed something. Boost, did you paint your rear pillars leading to the top of the car too?

yup sure did I hated the white pillars, going for the all black top. It looks a lot better.
