Hi everybody I am having a little trouble getting my car to run at stock boost levels. It is a 90 laser turbo, I installed a boost guage and it ran at 15psi until I fixed my boost leaks and now it runs at 18 psi, and holds. The stock boost control solenoid was removed by the previous owner. My car is completely stock except I hacked the MAF sensor and airbox and this is where my other question comes in. Will the hack cause my car to run lean without other supporting mods? I would like to run safely and any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob

Also I forgot to mention that my stock boost gauge reads 11-12 psi when the other is at 18. I don't know if that is right, it seems like it should be past 14 at least.

he removed the stock bcs? Do you have an aftermarket boost controller then? Does the gauge sit on zero when the key is in the acc on(not running) switch?

I don't have a boost controller at all, and the guage sits on 0 when the key is on . when it is running it is about 22 vacuum,

If he removed the BCS, you should get an aftermarket boost controller asap. Voodoo_boost on ebay sells them for 10 bucks. Now it's all up to your wastegate spring.
