Ok I know im going to get the "search" answers but i did and couldnt find anything.

ok so my 93 is bone stock. I found a flywheel and ordering it hopefully next week.

ok so I am reading about 272 cams. Can I run these on a stock tune?what would be the cheapest to go with but best for the money?I dont want to cheap out on the build, just save a little money. I want to upgrade injectors and fuel pump.which would be the best option? also I want to keep the turbo I got now because i really do not have the cash to buy a new turbo but when this one goes out what would be the best turbo to go with?

AS far as intake goes i have a feeling im just going to do a aem intake or just a cheapo. Then just a catback exhaust. Anymore ideas?

For the money you spend on 272 cams, you could buy a evo316 turbo and see way more results. I would make sure I had all maintenance items took care of before modding. My bolt on list would be:

1.) wideband 02/ boost gauge
2.) Ecmlink/dsmlink
3.) AFPR/ boost controlller
4.) full turbo back exhaust...I prefer 2.5"
5.) hi flow air filter..2gmass or 3" GM or SD.
6.) Fuel pump and injectors
7.) Turbo setup, including exhaust mani.
8.) FMIC and piping
9.) valve train and then cams..I would do 264/272
10.) suspension lowering kit

Those are the 10 things i would do first. I could be forgetting something..its late.

I would go with HKS cams if you can find them, there is a set on ebay right now.

272s wont affect your 'tune'. But if you're keeping the 14B I wouldn't waste money on cams just yet I'd invest in some or all of the bolt ons like spoolin18 mentioned first.

I personally have HKS cams but I haven't ran them yet, I got them for a good deal.

However, I hear Kelford has the best cams out there for the 4G63.

Ummm actually it will affect your ''tune'' it will cause it to run leaner in the upper rpm range....So you might want to get a wideband and make sure.I'm sure if you are just running a stock ecu it will be fine because they come from the factory rich as hell but I would get a wideband first that way you know whats going on.

Not to be a dick but you can run lean on a little t25.It's up to how the car is tuned not how big the turbo is....Just get a wideband and something to tune with watch you AFR's and be safe knowing what the hell is going on.

I totally agree. I just don't see how cams alone with the stock boost control system can cause the car to hit fuel cut or detonation without the boost pressure turned up?

Granted the cams will allow the head to flow a more air through the turbo but the wastegate would still open under the same (stock) psi. Wouldn't it?

Yes I'm sure everything stock he will be just fine dropping in some cams. The cams will flow a few more lb/min but you can actually run a bit higher boost without knock when you get proper logging/tuning devices since the valves open longer it reduces some sort of pressure? I cant remember...LOL.Stock boost and cams should be fine but I wouldnt start adding boost or anything until he gets a widband. The wastgate will open at whatever psi it is set for.

Anyways cams sound effing sweet! I love my 272'S

Throwing cams on a stock car will only hurt your performance. The reason you put bigger cams on a car is to increase the airflow in the higher RPMs. The stock turbo can't handle high boost in those RPMs and you will be hurting the RPM range that your turbo is great at, which is low end. Cam upgrades should be after you have upgraded every imaginable bolt on there is, INCLUDING engine management.

Continue doing your research, plan your upgrade path and start buying your parts. Put some serious thought into how much power you really want to put to the ground so you can buy your parts for that build. There have been many guys who had to upgrade 2-3 times to support their build due to poor planning. But there are a few cheep/free mods you can do to get that lil extra out of your stock stuff if you search. but you really need to get a logger, and a wide band and a good manual boost gauge to tune regardless so that could be your first purchase. Realistically how much power do you want to pull out of your car? We could give you a lot more accurate info that you can use knowing that. Also when you do buy and install your fuel pump, do a rewire mod your pump and engine will thank you for it.

300-350 hp is an easily obtainable number. You could go with an E3B16G or a 20G. I have seen some very nice numbers with a 20G. deff want to get a good pump. A 190 will probably work for you but just as easy to go with a 255LPH just for peace of mind. you will want an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 750cc inj., 2.5"-3" turbo back, ported E3exhaust manifold, ported O2 or tubular O2 housing, 264/272 or 272/272 cams and either ECMlink or maft. I am running maft but as soon as I get back from Iraq, I am buying ECM link... I know this goes unsaid but your first purchase should be the tuning equipment that we told you about before that way you know the status of your engine once you put your parts on so you don't run lean and burn valves or blow the engine. A front mount intercooler will do wonders but if money is a problem you can fine a good used supra SMIC that will work better than your stock one. But FMIC have come down in price if you know where to look. Also a good set of intercooler pipes and intake pipe will do wonders coupled with a good air filter

Most of this isn't needed to hit 300-350, 750cc injectors and cams??

I know I may have put allot in there, but where I come from I was always taught to build it once and build it right. And your right he probably doesn't need allot of it if he want to do the bare minimum, but I like to build for reliability and with room for tuning.
