What are some of the best brands for GSX coilovers?

Goals:
1. I will require ride height adjustability.. Preferably between a 1.5 inch drop and stock height.

2. I'm not looking for a kit that is too stiff. Adjustable stiffness would be ideal. I'd like to have a fair tradeoff between handling and ride enjoyability. The car is my daily driver. I'm not sure if this is helpful but I had Tokico Blue struts/springs on my GS and they were great for handling and didn't make the ride too stiff. Also, don't recommend any struts/spring combo as an alternative.. I will require the flexibility of raising and lowering the car on the fly.

If you were happy with Tokico Blues, then you'll be happy with just about any of the options suggested above. Just make sure that you never take a ride in a car on Konis. The cognitive dissonance that this will cause will be highly painful.

No problem and remember take your time and look over all types of options not listed. Check out google images and read plenty of online reviews. If you can speak face to face or coorespond to drivers of DSM who have actual products on thier vehicles.

I am interested to know what the advantage is to using some Koni Yellows + GC Coilovers.

As of right now, I am leaning toward the Tein Basics but I haven't looked into some of of the other recommendations yet. (Megan,

I have never heard anything bad about Tein setups.

Tyeler.. I want good coilovers.. :D

Let me just ad, that I'm not just spewing part names here. I have the KW's, and was AMAZED at how they handled compared to a set of KYB's. I normally drive like a grandma but the with the KW's I was flying arround corners with ease.

Do note, you'll have to change your seats if you have the stock leather ones for obvious reasons. :)

Just don't get the ebay coilover sleeves they ride like ass

ExtremePsi is having a sale on Megan racing coilover kits for 875 and 699 right now..
Are these better than the Teins?
Also, the KWs are a little pricey for me.. I'd like to spend a grand at most.

You can get megans for 200 dollars cheaper than extreme psi, either on ebay or amazon.com, if you google search megan racing coilovers or buy them direct from megan you can get a better price. But for a gran just go with Tein. Far superior.

Koni yellows and ground contorls are right in your price range then and will be better than any other coilovers in the same price range.

Agreed. This setup will be almost exactly $1K and will most likely out perform anything else in this price range.

I don't think the OP is looking for a track setup. He said he wants something adjustable on the fly, not too stiff and price is a factor. Which brings me back to what I had on my previous 2g. Tein basics.

My experiance with these coilovers were almost nothing but positive. I say almost because I didn't have the wrench to adjust them

I have a Torrington bearing between the lower perch and spring. I'm able to easily make height adjustments by hand. :hellyeah:
