FRom the searches.. i beleive its a NO.

heres the thing. Im getting a reallly good deal on SKunk 2 coilovers but the problem is that they are coming of off a GST.
I really doubt that theyll fit but is there a big difference in the fitment on theses two cars? can it be modified in any way to fit on a gsx?

Fits okay if you use your (GSX) shocks, but the spring rates are all wrong and you are gonna hate it. Just hold out for the correct coil overs, or get some nice tein springs.

It will fit, but the thing is the weight to spring difference. Your GSX weighs a lot more than a GST does. So it will feel like your layin on the ground. Bumps will be a nightmare. A friend of mine got sent the wrong set of shocks and springs and he put them on anyways. Needless to say he got the right ones quick.

And how do you reconcile your ideas with the fact that, for the last fews years of production, FWD and AWD DSMs came with the same springrates?

they will fit. only difference between FWD and AWD coilovers might be the spring rates. many companies have only one application for the 2G's, that states that it fits AWD and FWD

so im asssuming that they'll fit then?

As far as I know, the front suspension is identical except AWD has a 2-piece half-shaft on the driver side to clear the drive-shaft . . . and in the rear, you have the half-shafts coming out of the rear diff.

Control arms, mounting points, A-Arms, knuckles . . . all interchangeable.

im looking into getting the tein s-tech springs for my 97 AWD but they only make them for the FWD and im wondering if the rear will sit too loww due to the drivetrain? or will it be ok?

Did you even read the thread?

Springrates on 97-99 FWD/AWD were identical. As such, anything that raises the rates will be fine.

thanks i was just making sure...i dont know too much about spring rates and such. I may go with the eibachs anyway just because they make one for the AWD....both the tein s tech and eibach pro kit drop the car 1.3 so.
