2g Coilovers On A 1g GSX?

I called ground control about the same thing. They said the 2g springs are 1" shorter and have a different spring rate. I have a set of the cheap coilover kits from a 2g for my 1g. I have measured and they are 1" shorter. If you can live witha 1" drop go for it or make a 1" spacer to go under the sleeve.

The 2g setup at the top of its adjustment will give you a 1" drop on a 1g.

What's holding you back from getting specific ones for your car?

Why are the true coilover options for the 1g so limited in comparison to the 2g's?

I was considering buying the Tein Type SS dampers last week, but I'd rather have their Flex dampers with separate height and preload adjustments. Tein doesn't make Flex coilovers for the 1g, only for the 2g.

Basically, I want to be able to adjust the ride height without affecting the length of the damper stroke. So maybe the RRE JIC setup is the way to go. Any recommendations? Thanks again for the feedback. :dsm::thumb:
