So a group of 4 of my wires melted today, and I know that one of them goes to the o2 sensor. I'm not sure which one, but that gives you an idea where they are located. The group comes off of a connector by the upper radiator hose, and travels right over to by the dipstick. It appears the o2 housing or exhaust manifold was in contact with them and melted through them. I need some help!

Which one connects to the o2 sensor?
Where do the other ones go to?

dude First off put your on your Exhaust manifold heatshield on, it's there for a reason.

^^^What he said. The stock O2 wires run right over the heat shield and are secured to it on my car. That mani gets raging hot and might cause you other problems in your engine bay if you run no heatshields.

Thank you! Where's the best place to buy one? I don't want to pay $130 from the stealership... Should I just get a Napa-special?

www.sparkplugs.com

They're Denso OEM replacements and they can handle leaded gas. I paid something like 65.00 for mine as opposed the outrageous prices some vendors are demanding. It's also an OEM arrangement on the wiring so it's plug and play.

I run without a heatshield and mine is zip tied to the fan shround where the A/C fan used to be. There's enough heat shielding on there that I don't worry about it.

Hope that helps,

Andy

I found a lot of people ran fine without the Upper & Lower Heatshields. But i also have witnessed tons with melted Alternators, Fans, etc.
