I was going to get a trans fluid flush and change but allot of people told me that if you dont change you fluid for a certain amount of time, it will damage your trans if yo do change it. It has been years since the fluid got changed. Is there a special fluid that wont wreck the tranny if i flush and get new stuff in? also some of you may no i got that blown tcu, but when I do shift my car between park, reverse and drive, there is sometimes a loud "clink" or the car violently shakes. any answers?

If you have an auto if you do a trans flush, it will damage it because it will stir up junk in the trans that was not circulating in the lines before and it will be after the flush, thus cutting off the fluid flow.

Now what you want to do is just replace it, drain it replace the filter and put new fluid in, i have seen an auto trans in a concord, that would not move the car, replaced the filter and replaced, not flushed, the auto trans fluid, and it drove afterwords. So that is what i would do. good luck!

so drain the fluid, but new fluid in, and repeat? then change the filter?

No. Just drain the transmission fluid, change the filter, put new auto transmission fluid in, and you're good. No need to repeat.

...just make sure that you use a ATF+4, or SPII compatible fluid for mitsu trannies (AMSOIL has an excellent fluid for Mitsu auto trannies), for you shove anything else in there, you'll destroy the tranny.

You'll need about 9 quarts to do a full flush and fill since you got the torque converter to flush out.
