420A Transmission fluid change

How would i go about starting a transmission fluid change on my 420A im new to this but im mechanically inclined to do the job. In the picture could you please explain what i would have to take off also.

Nothing in that picture. It’s under the car. One drain bolt on the bottom of transmission, a fill line bolt on the front of the transmission. You can fill it from the fill line hole but I prefer to use the hole on top of the transmission. Can’t remember right now if a 420a has a hole on top of the case as it’s been a couple years since I’ve done it but if not take out a breather and you can fill it from there. Take the fill bolt out first in case it’s seized and you can’t get it off so you don’t have an empty transmission and no way to get the correct fluid level.

If you pull your Driver wheel off, you can easily see the fill and drain plug. I'll update this later with pictures on mine when I get home

If you pull your Driver wheel off, you can easily see the fill and drain plug, fill plug is a few inches above to the left of the drain plug. As suggested remove the fill plug first as they are usually pretty snug

I never use the fill plug. Just remove the speedometer from the top of the trans and fill from there. It's one 10mm bolt. The o-ring for the speedometer is less likely to get damaged at this age and is also much easier to find a replacement for. Plus you won't need any special hoses or funnels to fill from here. Just a funnel with some length to it. The trans will hold 2.1 - 2.3 quarts depending how much drained out.
