ok so I got a trainne for pizza hut in my car with me, and I'm going down the interstate and I notice lose of power in my throttle and a weird smell so I pull off the off ramp car shuts off and won't turn back on :( so I get into a gas station and billowing smoke from under the hood.. white smoke. So I bought coolant put some in pours out the bottom so I think raditior has a hole in it, so then I take the bumper off to get a better look. There's oil in my wheel wells :? Both left and right a decent amount to, but I can't find a oil trail? No where,,, any ideas? Anyone around jacksonvile that can come to westside and give advice/sell parts./help wrench? I'm sitting in subway waiting on a tow truck as we speak,

Dipstick says there's no oil in the block like not a drop :( I'm thinking its going to a shop,, I can't do that work don't have the tools, I'm getting it towed to a shop now then there gonna dio it and let me kno they can fiance is the only reason I'm even concirdering this.

Check for a hole in the back of the block by the starter. I'm betting you threw a rod out the back. It will cost a fortune to fix at a shop.

I'm just going to a shop to get better skilled eyes to findout for me I have 1 jack and 2 jackstand and some wrenchs and sockets that's all LOL, and I've I did blow the block I have to sell the car,,,,,, I have to be back on the road in 3 days.

Did you hear a loud clunk noise?

Like stated above, it is going to cost thousands to have it done at a shop. You really don't need that many tools to swap the 4G63. I highly recommend doing it yourself. And you have all the help you could ever need on here.

I won't do it at all if they want more then 1000 but I have to be back on the road in 2 days or a lose my job,

Hopefully you have a DD or know of someone who can borrow you a car. It will likely take longe than 2 days for even a shop to do a swap.

I dont think you have to be with a company for a certain period of time to collect unemployment. I think you will get it if they fire you for something that is beyond your control.

I work at a pizza hut too. If my car broke down if I was a delivery driver, they would keep me in store and cross train to be on the make table. The waterneck on the radiator broke off on my talon before, something else to consider. I woulda bought some oil and filled it to see how low the oil is before condeming the block for oil starvation. Even if it's likely.

Its at the shop there gonna call me in a hour, and give me the scoop then ill figure from there but we found the oil its all the way down the frame to the back :(

It really sounds like you cracked your block. My old Talon (ESi) spit oil all over the entire passanger side of the car when I cracked my block a few years back.

Neither did I when I cracked mine. That's why I asked about boiling coolant. You would have heard a clunk if you threw a rod throught the block. It can crack from heat and/or pressure.

WHAT!? I call bullshit. CW does not cause your coolant to leak as soon as it's poured and doesn't cause it to spit oil everywhere. And you have the split thrust bearing, so it is unlikely. I would look into it yourself. It is possible (but very unlikely) it walked on top of another more seriouse issue, but I highly doubt it.

LOL, I love it. Dumping coolant? Crankwalk! Guzzling Gas? Crankwalk! Transmission went out? Crankwalk! Flat tire? Crankwalk!

This isn't directed to the OP. Just saying Crankwalk is to blame for everything!!! :D

On a serious note to the OP, I would get a second opinion.

I second that. I would chew the "technician" who gave you that quote a new one for taking you for a fvcking idiot.

I don't have that option I have like 100 bucks to my name and just started my job 1 month ago, and I did check into it when I got to the shop. Oil pan was full of me metal and it was just ugh nasty.

That doesn't necessarily mean CW. That metal could have been sitting in the pan for years from a blown turbo or something. I call bullshit, that mechanic is an idiot.

Shop said (crankwalk) so its for sale now I don't have a choice :( any offers? Lol

Crankwalk is excessive end play on the crank. One of the first symptoms of it is the clutch pedal sticking on the floor when it is released. The worst things that come from crankwalk is that the crank moves so far forward that it breaks the crank sensor off, the other one is that it binds the rod bearings so much that one spins or sends a rod through the back of the block.

The only way you would see coolant is if it slung the rod out the block. It usually doesn't even overheat when you spin a bearing and you can still drive it for a little while, but it will eventually lock up.

I'm guessing it got so hot that it happened. Its my fault cause my prosport guage was never ever working correctly. Always read 220, water temp, the raditaor did have a hold it kinda busted LOL. I helped shop tear car apart. I'm gonna have to be out of dsms for a bit :(
