OK guys need help is my theory correct on Hallman Pro MBC

I installed it today, and my car was running even slower, i had the manual boost control turned off all the way till it closed and didnt move, so when i shook it would move (the ball and spring) so i tighten just enought whare it doesnt move the spring and ball? is that whare it soppose to be when running nothing or keeping it at stock boost???

Stock boost would be with the spring all the way decompressed. So the adjustment knob as loose as it can be.

Conversely, all the way compressed (adjustment knob tightened as much as can be), the car would basically be running infinite boost.

Do some 3rd gear pulls logging RPM, timing advance, TPS, and O2v. Make sure you're getting a smooth timing curve and aren't running lean. This assumes you have a logger (and if you don't, you need one ).

How much do loggers run??? and links to ebay or a site that sells them for cheap

Try the classifieds here first. I did a quick search and found a few 2g loggers f/s. You can get one used with the Palm for $100 or less. A new Pocketlogger will run you $125 and you supply the Palm. http://www.pocketlogger.com/ Get one before you start turning up the boost to learn how your engine operates and what the factory tune looks like. Then when you start increasing the boost and making other modifications you'll know what effect it is having.
