So I just got my Hallman Pro MBC from STM and it looks great. Packaged well and all that.

Anyway, I was messing with the knob and noticed that when I turn it all the way down (counter-clockwise) I can hear the ball rattling inside the body of the MBC if I shake it.

Is this normal? Does the vacuum pressure hold it in place once connected?

I don't think it'll be an issue since I'll have it turned up anyway, but I was just curious. Thanks.

definitely normal, however with it this turned out, your basically just going to see WG pressure as there is no clamping force between the spring and the ball....in other words the balls is basicall floating around. I like to tighten them to the point when you can no longer hear it rattle then go boosting/adjusting from here. This will ensure you start off at a low boost level.

Just got mine in the other day and mine did the same thing....no worries. Once you get it on and set it to your desired boost level, it works like a charm:thumb:

Thanks for the reassurance guys. Yeah, I didn't plan on running it turned all the way down anyway. I'm going to have it connected to my Tial 38mm WG that has a 15psi spring in it currently. I'm looking to push 20.

Hallman pro works awesome, buddys talon had homemade one we never could get his fp green past 24psi so we thought it was wastegate spring, was going to change that out but he decided to buy the Hallman first and bam car is running 28psi all day long now.
