My EvoIII 16G is about a year old. It is fed from the OFH. I took some intake parts off the other day and noticed more oil than I would like to see in the hard upper ic pipe. My oil pressure is high during pulls and cruise. At around 70mph, my pressure is between 75 and 80. When the car is started cold, especially in cold weather, the oil press will be around 100psi. It is at around 25 at idle. I believe the ss oil feed line is from Extreme PSI. Is there a restrictor I could get or do I need to go back to feeding the turbo from the head? So far the turbo works great and doesn't smoke or make noise.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I was also wondering what the pressure is from the housing as well..And If feeding from there would causee to much pressure and cause problems down the road..

My buddy just put a line from his OFH to his turbo, and not off the head like I told him..
 
I believe the restrictor size that you need is a 0.075 restrictor but I couldnt tell you where to find one casue I have been looking all over for one for myself.

Mitsu turbos need oil pressure under 45 psi.

How is you PVC/crank vent system set up, a lot of times people connect the valve cover vent to the intake without a catchcan and oil can build up in the intake.

You can use a restictor, it should be .075".

I would just get a restrictor and call it a day, you can feed from the OFH, many people do it, just need to properly set it up.
 
42-48psi max pressure at the inlet for MHI cartridges. These turbos are normally fed at the head with a restrictor in the factory oil supply line....feeding unrestricted from the filter housing with twice the pressure and four times the volume is a horrible idea. It may not fail on you right away, but somewhere down the road you're going to have an oil-related issue.
 
Per Justin's recommendations, I just installed my line from the OFH using the FP oil feed and I bored out the restrictor on the inline filter to .070".

My crankcase is vented to a catch can. The PCV valve is vented the stock way.
