I couldn't find anything on this, probably because it's pretty simple. Do the 1G oil squirter bolts need an O ring to get a good seal on the squirter itself? Or is the washer the only thing it needs?

What are the crush washers made of? Mine look completely silver. Would it be ok to replace them with copper crush washers? Sorry to bring this up but Im on the beginning of a rebuild and need to know what to use here. Anyone know what size there are?

Some are copper, some are soft aluminum. It really depends on the manufacturer. I have(and still) use aftermarket aluminum washers and never had a problem with them.

After days of searching the only thing I could come up with locally was 1/2" copper crush washers. 7/16 was to small and 1/2" was about just right. Metric was impossible to get. So then I looked through my manual to see if I needed any locktite on the bolts and I what torque specs I need to tighten them to, but came up empty. Anyone know? :(

No loctite and torque is between 20-22ft/lbs. I just installed mine night before last and the torque is still fresh in my memory.

I just pulled copper ones from my 6bolt block. Went to the dealer for some new ones, and these were silver.

Part# is MF660034 for anyone that wants to know.

I guess mitsu realized the aluminum is softer than the copper and seals better in a low torque application. Last new crush washer I saw from the dealer were copper but that was 3-4 years ago. I still have some 4 yr old crush washers for the oil feed line in the package and they are copper. I wonder if they have changed to aluminum also. Anyone know?
