Oil Pump Shaft

So the 6 bolt I have was put together with no oil pump in it at all. I have been rebuilding it because it was cranked and spun all the bearings.

I was wondering what the P/N is for the shaft that goes from the oil pump through the block. I am doing a balance shaft elimination is that part of the balance shaft system? Sorry if these questions are stupid but I have been reading a bit on the forums and I am a bit confused right now because I ordered a new pump but not revcieve this shaft.

The Balance shaft eliminator will delete the long shaft with a stuby shaft.

If you bought the pump without the gears.. you will need to buy them aswell

That is the balance shaft. the small stub shaft deletes that.

If you get an individual stub shaft or BSEK, make sure you get the shaft with the oiling groove (from a Mirage I believe). Most of the kits should use that stub shaft now, but it wouldn't hurt to be sure. (The one pictured above from ExtremePSI is the "correct" one).

What is the shaft that runs along side of the opposite side then?

The opposite balance shaft...they work as a pair.

The hole in the front case for that one is sealed with a plug, and the sprocket and BS belt is no longer needed.

Make sure you rotate the BS bearings so the oil hole in the block is pluged or else you wont have oil pressure when you start it.
