Ok, after getting fed up with an oil pressure gauge that lights up but doesn't work and a boost gauge that doesn't light up, but works fine, I switched the plugs. Now one completely works and the other doesn't.
On to the problems-
I looked underneath my car and found a mess of wires around the oil pressure sensor. Some were ripped off, stripped, etc. Heres what I found-

what can I do to fix my oil pressure gauge? (neither stock or alternate one works)

Another quick question-
I'm pretty sure I have a seven bolt, but this car has had many owners so im not sure. I read somewhere that you can tell by the indent on the oil pan.

Give it to me straight doc

Now, I have some other questions (im putting them all in one so I don't spam up the boards)
All over under the hood I have found unplugged wires. Do you guys know what these are and where they should be?

Try to attatch the yellow wire to the screw up above. I have a 1g the one on your hand the black clip, should go to the oil sending unit the bell shaped thing on the oil cooler. See if the black connector fits in the plug on the transmission, that might be your reverse switch, trying to help here.

Do you mean on the oil filter or oil cooler? If you meant oil cooler, where is that at?

Other than that, I tried hooking up those two plugs on the tranny side, but they didn't go together. I bet thats why my reverse lights don't work though.

Thanks for the help!

Yes the reverse switch plug is missing you say, the oil cooler not the filter. The cooler holds the filter, there should be a bell housing on the bottom of that, and the oil sending unit right above that, at least thats where it is on my 1g, might want to find someone with a car like yours but ill try to help.

Wait, are you saying the plug i have in my hand on the 3rd from last picture should go into the belle shaped thing? Because if you are, I don't think that would work because it wouldn't be long enough. But from the pictures I have seen, that is the type of plug that should go there.

Will it reach, is it oily thats the only shaped plug ive ever seen on the dsms, and they usuallly go
on the bell housing, is it possible it could have been cut, check that again, if not im stumped to where
that plug could go.
