Ok here goes I just put in a completely rebuilt 4G63 Turbo motor into my 97 Eclipse GST Spyder, balance shafts were removed.
It started on the first turn of the key but the oil pressure gauge is screwy. With the motor off the gauge is permanently pegged, with the sender wires disconnected from the sender switch and the idiot light sender the gauge is pegged. When the car is running the oil pressure gauge drops, and when the key is turned off the gauge is pegged. The battery is dead within 12 hours or so. I am assuming the pegged gauge is killing the battery, the question is what is keeping the gauge pegged. any help would be appreciated
