I just recently popped my hood and seen that my timing belt had been slinging oil from somewhere on my hood.. and the belt still is wet with oil... its making me nervius to drive bc i dont want to skip a tooth or something. its not leaking on the ground at all. any ideas where it could be coming from? is it possible to skip a tooth with being wet with oil?

There are plenty of places for it to leak oil on the front side of the engine. Cam seals, balance shaft seals, oil pump seal, crankshaft seal, oil filter housing, and rocker cover to name a few.

Once oil gets on the belt it's trashed and only a matter of time before it fails.

How many miles are on the engine?

Oil is leaking somewhere and is moving around your engine, just a matter of when, once its contaminated is done.

ok so it looks like it is coming from the cam seal but im not 100% sure. ill try cleaning it and let it run and watch it and see if i see anything.

(i just realized i posted this in the complete wrong section, sorry about that)
