oil leak!! oil change

I am about ready to do my oil change and was wondering what is a good not too expensive kind to get and what weight? 10w30 or 10w40? And I noticed an oil leak I have around oil pan and oil return line and oil pressure sending unit...I posted about the oil sending unit before...my question is which one should I buy and where from? And how do I fix these leaks? Do I need new oil pan gasket or something? If that's the case what all is involved in that I see it is not just an unbolt and come down there is more to it...stuff in the way...any help is greatly appreciated...pics help too!

For oil, I prefer Rotella 15w40 diesel oil. Great for turbos. Oil pans do not use gaskets, RTV is what is needed. You have to pull the pan and clean the surfaces and apply a fresh bead and reinstall. Just a little tweak on the oil return might kill its leak

For the oil return, use 2 gaskets together on pan side. Before installing, spray both gaskets with copper spray and reinstall with new crush washers. Corey (gofer) told me about this method and it works amazingly.

Im having the same problem as the op but i bought the felpro gasket for my oil pan. Yet to be installed but what kind of copper spray did u use on ## gaskets? Thanks in advance

Throw the gasket in the trash. Grey rtv works way better than a gasket.

i run mobil 1 syn 10w-30...drop the pan, clean it and lay a nice bead of rtv on there. no gasket needed.
