i'm changing my oil how much should i put in? i've misplaced my owners manual :(....and i dont think the answer is 2.0 litres.

just start putting oil in and checking the dipstick. when your at the right level on the dip stick then stop putting oil in......but mine takes about 4 quarts maybe a little less.

Do you know how to use the dipstick? It's to the front of the engine on the drivers side. It has minimum and maximum fluid level marks. Roughly 4 quarts should do it.

yes i do know how to use a dipsitck :(, just figured id ask so i wouldnt have to burn it off as usual if i went over because someone has been telling me thats not the smartest thing to do. I figured 3.8 would be enough, but thanks for the help.

Just messin with ya ;) . 4 quarts usually fills me to the maximum fluid level line. So yeah, about 3 and a half.

I usually use 4.5 quarts on my 2g. But yeah, you should use your dipstick to judge whether you need more or less. It should show between the high and low marks on the dipstick.

4.5 for me as well.

I add 4.5 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic with a new oil filter. That will put the level on the dip stick between the low/hi mark.

The last time I did it, I added a can of Restore with 4 quarts of Mobil 1 and it had made the ticking of the lifters go away.
